Frequently Asked Questions

How long will my order take?

For smaller orders (under 10 tapes) we aim to have your order processed in under 2 weeks. For larger orders (more than 10 tapes) we may take 3 weeks to 4 weeks.

How should I send my tapes to you

Once you have placed your order we will provide you with our address and instructions on the best ways to send your tapes. We highly recommend using a reputable tracked delivery service such as Royal Mail or Parcelforce. We are also happy to book a courier to collect your tapes.

Will you return my tapes?

Return postage is included with your order. All media will be returned via Royal Mail Tracked48 and should take 2 days to reach you.

What if some of my tapes are blank?

We will refund the cost of converting any blank tapes in your order and return them to you.

What if some of my tapes are broken or mouldy?

We are usually able to repair damaged tapes. Any repairs we make are done entirely free-of-charge. No nasty hidden costs.

What format will my videos come back in?

For cloud and USB options your videos will be returned as MP4 files by default. We can provide other file formats on request.

I am not sure if you convert the format of tape I have.

The full range of media we convert is as follows:

-VHS; including S-VHS

-8mm; including Hi8 and Digital8 (often written as D8)


-CDs; including DVDs and Mini-DVD (as long as they are not copy-protected)

Can I drop my tapes off in person?

Unfortunately at the moment we can not offer in-person drop off. However, we are happy to book a courier on your behalf to collect your order from your home.
